Interface unit for connecting DEX/P, DEX/A, DEX/F or DG/P, DG/A, DG/F, DG/EF gas detectors to third-party measurement systems with a standard 4–20 mA input
The MDP-1x/T interface unit is designed to connect DEX/P, DEX/A, DEX/F detectors of the [W1] series or DG/P, DG/A, DG/F, DG/EF detectors of the [W2] series, manufactured since September 2025 (only models with a round yellow warning label on the front cover), to third-party measurement systems equipped with a standard 4–20 mA input. It features an active 4–20 mA output (current sourcing).
The control unit limits the power and voltage supplied to the detector, provides communication with the detector, and monitors the integrity of the connecting cable.
Features
- Connection of one detector to one measurement input of the system;
- Output signal: active 4–20 mA (current sourcing);
- Detector or connecting cable faults indicated via the output current to the measurement system (Ip ≤ 0.5 mA);
- LED indication of control unit power, detector power and detector status;
- Manual triggering of an output test sequence and switching off the detector power supply;
- 24 V DC power supply;
- Enclosure for mounting on a TS35 DIN rail;
- Note: Not compatible with detectors manufactured before September 2025 (cannot replace the MDPL1 control unit).
