DEX-G detectors are of explosion-proof construction: flameproof enclosure db and casing tb. They can be used in zones 1 or 2 endangered by explosion of gases or flammable vapours classified as explosiveness group IIA or IIB (for versions designated F…-B… ) or group IIA, IIB or IIC (for versions marked F…-C..), temperature classes T1, T2, T3 or T4 (for versions marked F4-…) or temperature classes T1, T2, T3, T4, T5 or T6 (for versions marked F6-…).
The detectors can also be used in zones 21 or 22 endangered by an explosion of combustible dusts classified as group IIIA, IIIB or IIIC, where the maximum surface temperature is 70°C (for versions marked F6-…) or 120°C (for versions marked F4-…).
